Bragging Rights 2009

SmackDown VS. Raw Six Diva Tag Team Match
Melina (WWE Diva's ©), Kelly Kelly, & Gail Kim VS. Michelle McCool (WWE Women's ©), Beth Phoenix, & Natalya Neidhart

Jesse: .......................This is the sound of the awkwardness of this match. Hopefully it will be over in about the time it takes for you to read this.
Winners: Melina, Kelly Kelly, & Gail Kim

Andy: Well my arrogance after Breaking Point came back to haunt me at Hell in a Cell so I'm going to be a little more humble with my picks this time around. If history has shown one thing it's that I suck at picking the women's matches. Heads is Raw and tails is SmackDown. It's heads and Team Raw with the toss up victory.
Winners: Melina, Kelly Kelly, & Gail Kim

Jon: This is literally a flip of the coin for me. The SmackDown girls are the better wrestlers but they could let Raw win seeing how they are faces. I still have to take SmackDown because of Michelle McCool's athleticism and Beth Phoenix's power.
Winners: Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, & Natalya Neidhart

Lonnie: So with the exception of Andy’s beloved Kelly Kelly, all of the women in this match are good wrestlers and Kelly is actually getting much better. I think this will be a closely contested and interesting match due to the recent diva trade. I have a feeling however that tension will build on the SmackDown team between Beth and Michelle, and this tension is going cost their team the victory.
Winners: Melina, Kelly Kelly, & Gail Kim

John Bob: I was personally hoping to see the women's champ against the diva's champ but I guess this will do. At least they are using the best womens wrestlers from each brand. As you'll see as you keep reading, I think this will be a good night for the blue brand. I'm picking the SmackDown divas to win.
Winners: Michelle McCool, Beth Phoenix, & Natalya Neidhart

John Morrison (WWE Intercontinental ©) VS. The Miz (WWE United States ©)

Jesse: I'm only taking The Miz because he said he wants to beat up Eric Mangini, and I'm all for that.
Winner: The Miz

Andy: The Miz has been on a roll since winning the United States Championship but he still needs a quality win to add to his credibility. I think pinning an established champion such as Morrison can help him out in this department so I'm taking The Miz for my upset of the night.
Winner: The Miz

Jon: If The Miz can perform here then this match should be excellent. I don't think Morrison is that far away from the upper card main events. He deserves to be there with his skill and athleticism. I expect them to push The Miz in this match a little bit by letting him beat on a respectable opponent in Morrison. Morrison will turn it around and pick up the victory however.
Winner: John Morrison

Lonnie: I anticipate this match being the first one of the night, and quite possible being the best one assuming it is given some time. I can see either man winning this match, but I have a feeling that Morrison will pull this one out. First, it will give The Miz something to complain about on Raw and make for a great promo. Secondly, since I feel the Raw divas will win, this match needs to even up the score one to one going into the big tag match that will be the deciding match as to what team officially has the bragging rights.
Winner: John Morrison

John Bob: This is the only one where I wasn't sure who to pick. I like John Morrison but something tells me that The Miz may win this match. Since there are only five matches on the card (even though one of them is an Iron Man Match), this match should get a decent amount of time. I think Morrison has a brighter future with the company so I think he'll get the win in what should be a good match.
Winner: John Morrison

SmackDown VS. Raw WWE Bragging Rights Tag Team Match
Team SmackDown (Chris Jericho (Unified Tag Team ©), R-Truth, Finlay, Hart Dynasty, Kane, & Matt Hardy) VS. Team Raw (D-Generation X, Big Show (Unified Tag Team ©), Mark Henry, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, & Kofi Kingston)

Jesse: I never thought I would see two such weird teams. Who thought of this? D-X and Mark Henry on the same team? Great idea WWE. But also let me take this time to remind you to wish John a happy birthday on Halloween.
Winners: Team Raw

Andy: Team SmackDown sucks so bad that I could actually see them winning, but I'd rather take my chances on the team with D-Generation X. Team Raw wins in a close match.
Winners: Team Raw

Jon: There are so many superstars on the Raw side that there is no way I could take SmackDown. R-Truth and Finlay? Come on now, D-X will be standing tall at the end of this match, probably beating Jericho.
Winners: Team Raw

Lonnie: So if we were basing this match on talent Raw would win the match in about three minutes. But thankfully (or not depending on your view) the match will be longer than that. Looking at team Raw I think the weak link is Cody Rhodes due to the fact he might try to win by himself. But sadly Cody (Raw’s weakest person) is better than Matt, Finlay, R-Truth, and at least has more prestigious wins than the Hart Dynasty. So based on that fact I am going to have to go with Ra.....SmackDown. Why? First off, I have learned that you never evvvvver pick against Chris Jericho. Just imagine how great it is going to be when Jericho kicks off Raw on Monday by not only making fun of the fans and the guest hosts from NASCAR, but by saying how awful Raw's superstars are. Of course this will cause Big Show to come out and Jericho can then tell Show how he clearly carries their team. Go Jericho, you tell the truth when you say you are the best at what you do.
Winners: Team SmackDown

John Bob: In my opinion Team Raw seems stacked and there appears to be no way that they could lose. This is exactly why I think they will lose. If you look back in history, you'll see that SmackDown wins most of the time when they have some sort of "bragging rights" match or "battle of brand supremacy". It won't matter though because nothing relevant ever comes from those victorys because the WWE will always view Raw as their "A" show. So, since it won't matter in the future, I'm going with Team SmackDown since no one seems to be giving them much of chance (Plus, Jericho's promos will be awesome once he leads HIS team to victory).
Winners: Team SmackDown

Fatal Four Way Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Undertaker (©) VS. CM Punk VS. Rey Mysterio VS. Batista

Jesse: I hope to God that Rey wins this match just to piss Lonnie off. And since he's seeing it live, that would make it ten times better. Too bad it won't happen. But there is no way WWE would take the belt away from Taker this early, unless he gets hurt again since he's old.
Winner: Undertaker

Andy: Since Rey and Batista didn't win the tag titles at Hell in a Cell, I doubt the WWE will give either man the title belt at Bragging Rights so they are eliminated. Undertaker does not compete that much during the month and that is a big negative for the WWE if their champion can't compete on a regular basis. Therefore, I'm going with CM Punk in my heel victory of the night.
Winner: CM Punk

Jon: The WWE has been really weird lately with their championship titles. Letting Cena keep his for a month and then lose it the next. I hope that the WWE doesn't do this to the Undertaker too considering no one in this match deserves to win except for Taker. Hopefully Mysterio will get knocked out for a little bit so we can see Taker and Batista go at it again. Undertaker tombstones his way to victory.
Winner: Undertaker

Lonnie: Let’s face it folks.....this is a triple threat match. Why? Rey Mysterio has no chance in hell of winning this match. Anyways, this leaves us three other qualified people. I feel that if the WWE was going to let Batista have a championship that would have let him win it by now. I think they have finally realized that he is unreliable as champion due to his frequent injuries. This leaves us CM Punk and Undertaker. Undertaker has been slow in the ring and not himself ever since his latest injury and I feel that the WWE needs to get the title off him soon and especially before WrestleMania as his matches are high profile enough without the championship being involved. However, I do not think he will lose the belt here for one simple reason. The World Heavyweight Championship needs to regain its prestige. Meaning that they finally need to let one person hold it for more than one month or two to prove that it is hard to get and mean something.
Winner: Undertaker

John Bob: So, I think there are only two people that I have chance of winning this and that's Undertaker or CM Punk. Batista is a long shot and there's just no way Rey is going to win it. It's only been three weeks since Taker won the belt (which I don't think he should of won) so I think they will keep the title with him. I think his feud with Punk continues since he Punk is not getting a one-on-one return match here.
Winner: Undertaker

Anything Goes Iron Man Match for the WWE Championship
If John Cena loses, he must leave Raw
Randy Orton (©) VS. John Cena

Jesse: An hour of this crap? I think you might want to get a book or magazine to read during the match. And why did they pick these two? They can't go ten minutes without getting hurt, there is no way for them to go an hour. Oh well might be a good match, and I need the fantasy points.
Winner: Randy Orton

Andy: Dating back to the Night of Champions triple threat match, Orton and Cena have fought for the WWE Championship at every pay-per-view and Orton has come out on top three times while Cena has only won once. Based on this statistic, I think Cena will win this match to close the gap between their recent winning percentages. The stipulation that Cena must leave Raw if he loses scares me a bit, but I don't think this will happen unless he has a preplanned injury or a leave of absence coming up. I'll take my chances with Cena in my face victory of the night.
Winner: John Cena

Jon: Okay, it would make no sense for Cena to win the title, lose it a month later, only to win it back a month later. They could be setting up Cena and Taker at WrestleMania by sending Cena to SmackDown here. This match is gonna be an excellent match especially with the anything goes stipulation. I expect some interference at some point during the match. Orton leaves with the title and Cena goes to SmackDown.
Winner: Randy Orton

Lonnie: So if Cena loses he is off Raw? That is unlikely. If Cena wins, he will face someone that is not Randy Orton? That is unlikely. Because each of the stipulations seem like unlikely scenarios I am just going to cancel them out and focus on the actual match. Cena will get two falls for sure, one with the attitude adjustment and one with the STF. Since there is no disqualification he can hold the STF on even if Orton gets in the ropes. So if he was smart, Cena would keep the hold on and not let go until he got like eight falls in a row out of it. Fortunately for me, Cena is not this smart by any means. So how is Orton going to win? No one thought he would win at Hell in a Cell but he did. Plain and simple....the man is a winner. I am not sure how, but Randy will prevail. Cena can go to SmackDown and fight against Punk or even take on Undertaker if they do not hold off on that feud until WrestleMania. If Cena did win, what top heel would challenge him? No one, so he can’t win.
Winner: Randy Orton

John Bob: Ok, so I went against my heart last time and I've been regretting it ever since. So, I'm going with Orton no matter what. He may not have much of a chance at winning this but I'm going to go with him regardless. Plus, I think it would be a nice change of scenery if Cena went to SmackDown to shake things up over there. Plus, I would love to see Cena VS. Taker at WrestleMania in March even though they seem to be leaning towards Taker VS. Vince. Anyways, I'm going with Orton as I vow not pick against my heart again.
Winner: Randy Orton
